Weekend Recap: Family Fun Edition

I think I should just plan on Weekend Recaps being on Wednesday!!

This past weekend was SO good!  Andy, Michelle & Carmen came up Saturday from NC.  We went down there a month ago (still need to get that trip posted) and we were very excited to see them again.  Carmen is 6 months older than Colin and they play so good together.

Saturday morning we got up and went to the local Farmer's Market and stopped by Kroger for cookout supplies then got home and got the carport set up for a day of fun!  They stopped and picked Justin's mom up on the way to our house.  The kids were so excited to play.  We stayed on the carport for most of the day.  Andy & Justin did the grilling and the food was really good!  I found hot dogs that were Colin safe (more on food allergies hopefully coming this week!) and he really liked it.

After all of that playing it was getting hot so they put on Colin's hats and took a water break!

On Sunday we did a few things and then Colin stayed with my parents while we went out to celebrate our 3rd anniversary....lunch at Chipotle!

So thankful for this guy!  I can't imagine life without him!

Another great weekend in the books!!!

Weekend Recap

I was doing so good with the blog and then....nothing.  Here I am to try again!

And here I am on Tuesday trying again - I got one sentence done yesterday and that was it so I thought I'd give it another try!

We had a really good weekend!  Justin started painting the kitchen/dining room on Thursday & Friday.  It's very much a work in progress and I will post pictures when we get it done :)

Saturday morning we went to a few yard sales but didn't find anything.  We went to Wagons and Wheels in Blacksburg and I think Colin enjoyed seeing the trucks and cars!

    

That evening while we were watering flowers Colin started playing in the water and I thought it was a good chance to get some fun pictures.

    

    

After we went inside, I attempted allergy free bread - it was okay but needs some tweeking I think!

On Sunday we stayed home and got lots of things done around the house.  I did lots of cooking and made a few new things for Colin to try.  I feel so bad that he's constantly eating the same thing over and over.  I will be posting more about the recipes in coming days/weeks, but here is a preview!  I made homemade curly fries and sweet potato fries

along with granola, peanut butter oat no-bake cookies (but with sunbutter instead), and then for dinner we had Italian Chicken in the crock pot, steamed carrots and broccoli and corn on the cob. Justin said it was the best meal ever but I'm not so sure about that!

We had a great weekend together...I look forward to more weekends like this to come this summer!
