Here we go with September...we FINALLY got to go to Pigeon Forge at the end of the month. Phil, Heather & Leora were there also so we did a lot together the first couple of days. We went down on Saturday afternoon when Justin got off. Heather & Phil stopped by for awhile and Leora played with Colin while we all talked.
Day One - Sunday
Colin had lots of room to play in the condo.
Dad fixed breakfast for all of us and Phil & Heather.
After breakfast, we rode go-carts then headed to Gatlinburg to walk the streets and check out all of the shops.
These were taken at the Village in Gatlinburg
Right after the picture, I went into the store behind us and bought my first pair of Toms ballet flats...and fell in love!
After Gatlinburg, we headed back to Pigeon Forge to have dinner at Timberwood Grill and spend some time on The Island.
Colin got fussy during dinner and Dad took him out when he was done to let me finish eating. We came out of the restaurant to find this....granddad and Colin riding the carousel!
Dad then let us ride with Colin
"Mom tries to get pictures, I eat the hay"
When Dad went back to get another ride added on for Phil, Heather & Leora the lady gave him a FREE pass for 24 hours because she saw how much Colin loved riding. So rare for someone to be so nice!
Colin & Leora traded strollers from time to time on the trip! This was in a store on the Island. My little cutie!
The water dances to music. Colin loves music thus this was HEAVEN for him. There are certain songs that now immediately take me back to this moment in time that will forever be froze in my mind. Colin was so happy and it was a totally carefree time...no worries. Just watching the pure, innocent joy as he jumped and squealed with the music.
It's blurry because he's moving!
With Grandma and Grandpa
Mommy's Boy...without a doubt!
Day Two - Monday
We met Phil, Heather & Leora for breakfast then did a little shopping before going back to the condo to let the babies swim for the first time!
After the pool, they had to get on the road to go home. Colin was just a little baby when Granddad started telling him about the bears in Pigeon Forge and he would take him to see them so that's how we spent Monday evening. It was a lot of fun to see Dad get to do what he had been promising for months. It was like Colin knew and he really seemed to enjoy seeing the bears!
After the bears, we went back to the Island for a little while. The guys went to find food while Mom & I sat at the fountain with Colin.
Day Three - Tuesday
On Tuesday, we went to the outlet malls and a few stores that we hadn't made it to yet. I also had a few minutes to take Colin's 8 month pictures. Our condo had an awesome fall display set up that I took advantage of - it was the perfect backdrop.
My least favorite day of any trip...going home! We took a few final pictures before getting on the road.
This is the view from the condo parking lot of the main road in Pigeon Forge.
This was the best way to end September and start October! We were trying to plan our next visit before we even left!
