October
October started with traveling back from our vacation in Pigeon Forge.
Work was really busy this month for me. Heather & I also spent the month planning the Fall Festival for the kids at church. It was the first time we had ever done anything like that.
We had hoped to take Colin to a few houses for Trick or Treating, but it was cold and rainy and Justin didn't get off until late so I took a few pictures with Colin but that was it. He fell asleep before Justin got home so we didn't even put him in his costume.
November
We had scheduled the Fall Festival for Saturday, November 1 so we spent the entire day getting everything ready. I also took Colin's 9 month pictures while we were there.
Heather had Leora dressed as Princess Leia and Colin was Robin. After Justin got off work, he came to the church and I convinced him to put on his Batman outfit! The Fall Festival was a success and I think everyone had a good time.
The next weekend, Justin's dad and step-mom came for a visit. We had a Thanksgiving/Christmas meal with them while they were here because we knew we wouldn't get to see them for the holidays.

We also went to see Santa Claus at the mall in Roanoke with Phil, Heather and Leora. Grandma and Granddad were in Roanoke earlier in the day and were still at the mall when we got there (I think Granddad planned that one!).
Leora was completely content meeting Santa; Colin, on the other hand...what you see is right before he started reaching for Mommy and wanting away from this strange man!
